CLEVELAND, MS (WLBT) - Shots rang out in a Cleveland night club parking lot Friday night leaving two people injured and the alleged gunman behind bars.
Cleveland Police Chief Buster Bingham said gunfire erupted outside Fermier's Bar and Grill on Chrisman Avenue, following an argument that began inside the establishment.
Officers were called to the scene around 12:45 a.m.
Twenty-year-old Carlos McCoy of Cleveland is charged with aggravated assault.
He is accused of shooting 26-year-old Donald Jackson of Cleveland in the hand and leg.
The chief said McCoy's friend, 26-year-old Ray Allen Marshall of Cleveland, also suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.
Investigators say McCoy and Marshall were together at the club.
Authorities are trying to determine if Marshall was struck by a bullet from McCcoy's gun or if another weapon was involved.
Police say none of the injuries appear to be life threatening.
