Two killed in plane crash

COPIAH COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - Two people have been killed in a single-engine plane crash in Copiah County. Emergency officials say the crash occured on Lilly Road near Hazlehurst.

Skycopter 3 pilot Coyt Bailey says it appears the plane was attempting to land at the Gallman airport.

James Ballow of Hazlehurst, a friend of both victims, identified the two as Gerry Mosley of Hazlehurst, a flight instructor; and Steve Davis of Brookhaven, an aircraft technician and licensed pilot.

Davis was also a firefighter and deputy in Lincoln County.
