Parent petitions for bus monitors

Posted: Updated:

MADISON COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - A Madison County parent is collecting signatures for a petition to get monitors on school buses.

Alisha Deville set up signs and circulated a petition at Liberty Park in Madison Saturday. Deville wants officials at Madison Station Elementary to put monitors on the buses after a five year-old girl allegedly pulled a knife on Deville's daughter on the way home from school.

School officials have declined to comment on the incident. Deville plans to take the petition before the school board on Monday.
