Associated Press - March 24, 2009 12:14 PM ET

ROSEDALE, Miss. (AP) - Authorities have arrested two people in connection with the weekend fatal shooting of an 18-year-old Rosedale man.

Rosedale Police Chief Issac Morris says officers responding to a call found Travis Horsely lying in a street behind the town library. He says Horsely had gunshot wounds to the upper torso and the legs.

Morris says Horsely was able to tell the officers who he believed had shot him. Horsely was taken to Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland where he died while receiving treatment.

Morris says the two men taken into custody were being held at the Bolivar County jail pending an initial court appearance. He did not identify the men.
