JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Due to potentially hazardous weather for the Jackson area on Saturday, April 13, the 2019 Blue & White Spring Football Game and Fan Fest has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

There will be an open practice Tuesday, April 16 at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium. The practice session will begin at 3 p.m.

“Although we are disappointed in the cancellation of our spring football festivities for Saturday, we remain very excited about the 2019 football season,” said Vice President and Director of Athletics Ashley Robinson. “With five marquee games at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium and classic games in Atlanta, Memphis and Indianapolis, it’s an exciting time to be a JSU Tiger.”

Despite the cancellation, a Blue & White Reception will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, April 12, at the Hilton Garden Inn, 235 West Capitol Street in downtown Jackson. Fans and supporters can meet Robinson and the JSU coaching staff. General admission is $100.

Meanwhile, early-bird season football tickets can be purchased now at a discounted rate until Monday, April 15, by visiting the JSU Ticket Office, Ticketmaster.com, or by calling 601-979-2420. Regular-season ticket packages will be available until Aug. 30.
