JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The Jackson City Council announced they will be holding a meeting to discuss the recent violence and allegations against Jackson police officers regarding the death of George Robinson.

Melvin Priester Jr. posted on Facebook about the upcoming meeting. Priester stated that normally they have weekly meetings, but these circumstances call for an urgent short-notice meeting.

Wednesday, there were four homicides in the Capital City.
