JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A 19-year-old has died after being shot in the parking lot of a Walmart Sunday night.
Monday morning Jackson police announced the arrest of three suspects in this murder.
28-year-old Terry Haley, 27-year-old Brian Williams, and 27-year-old Brandon Williams were all arrested and charged with capital murder.
After appearing in court, Terry Haley with no felony record, was denied bond. He was the one who fired the shot but claims it was in self defense.
Brandon Williams, who also has no criminal history, was given a $100k bond. Williams work two jobs and is a JSU student.
Brian Williams, who also has no criminal history was given a $100k bond.
Jackson police got the call just after 7 p.m. to the Walmart on Greenway Drive near Highway 18 Sunday night.
The victim, identified as 19-year-old Calphrion Vardman, died on scene.
According to Sgt. Holmes, officers responded to Walmart for a call about shots fired.
When police arrived, they found Vardman lying in the parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Three people were detained on scene and taken in for questioning. They were later charged with capital murder.
Police learned that the incident stemmed from some kind of sales transaction involving a cell phone which had been listed on an app.
