JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has taken over the investigation of a deadly hit-and-run that happened on Highway 27 back in November.

On November 2, 2018 a pedestrian was killed on Hwy 27 in Walthall County, near Salem. The vehicle involved in the deadly incident fled the scene and has still not been located.

The vehicle is a 2005-2009 Toyota 4-Runner and the front right bumper would have been damaged in the crash.

Crimestoppers is offering a reward and any person that has information about this accident should call Special Agent Luke Harrington with MBI at 601-833-7811.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol originally investigated the case.
