MADISON, MS (WLBT) - MRA’s Nicolas Rowan says he’s been called to serve.
Rowan signed to play football with Navy Wednesday. The senior offensive lineman, who the school says also plays the lead roles in their theatrical plays, chose to sign with the Naval Academy over offers from Air Force and Cornell.
“It really came down to that I wanted to serve,” Rowan told WLBT. “I wanted to give back, and it’s just something I’ve really wanted to do for awhile now."
“I’m glad that I can serve my country,” Rowan added. “I’m glad that I can represent my community, my school, and my family well.”
“Life’s going to very, very busy, that’s for sure," Rowan replied when asked about his schedule in Annapolis juggling football with the other commitments that come with being a midshipmen at the naval academy.
