JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The Jackson Police Department has identified the suspect in a shooting that left one woman dead at a Jackson gas station Sunday morning.

Investigators are searching for 48-year-old Jason Garrett in relation to the death of 25-year-old Brittany Green. He is believed to be traveling in a brown Dodge minivan.

Shortly after 5:00 a.m. Sunday, police responded to reports of a shooting at the Fuel Junction in the 1300 block of Woodrow Wilson Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive Green lying next to a vehicle in the parking lot. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Surveillance video captured by store cameras shows the victim’s vehicle, along with a second vehicle, in the gas station parking lot shortly before the shooting.

It is not clear what led to the shooting and a motive has not yet been determined.
