Hinds County participating in “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Campaign
Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over is a part of a national highway safety campaign.

HINDS COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - Saturday afternoon, the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office announced it will participate in the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” enforcement campaign.

This will include safety checkpoints and high visibility saturation patrols throughout the county at various times.

During the campaign, deputies will be on the lookout for violations regarding: impaired drivers, seat belts, child restraints, insurance and driver’s licenses.

“We want this to be a safe holiday season for everyone," said Hinds County Sheriff Victor Mason. "Be responsible, have a designated driver if you plan on drinking. Call a cab or an Uber before you get behind the wheel.”

The campaign will run from December 14, 2018 through January 1, 2019.
