Two arrested after kidnapped 14-year-old from New Mexico found safe in Itawamba County

FULTON, MS (WLBT) - A kidnapped juvenile out of New Mexico was found safe in Itawamba County Monday.

Mississippi Highway Patrol pulled over a white van traveling east on Interstate 22.

The 14-year-old girl was found in the van with a female driver and a male passenger.

25-year-old Didier Gonzalez-Morales, of Georgia has been charged with kidnapping. His bond has been set at $150,000. 25-year-old Blanca Vazquez, also of Georgia, has been charged with misdemeanor traffic offenses.

Both are currently being held in the Itawamba County Jail.

The 14 year-old girl is currently in the possession of Child Protective Services awaiting her parent’s arrival in Mississippi.

This case is currently being investigated by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Espinola Police Department.
