A convoy of trucks have gathered in the parking lot at Trustmark Park in Pearl Thursday morning and expected to hit the road bright and early.

They were scheduled to leave Wednesday afternoon, but could not find anywhere to stay in the Florida area.

The crew of 125 workers, including contractor lineman and support staff, are being sent to the Florida panhandle in areas that may be affected by Hurricane Michael. Entergy says the crew will be ready to provide assistance as soon as it is safe to do so.

While there, they will help Gulf Power Company repair damaged lines and restore power in areas hit by the storm.
